Ridley Scott Options Brave New World

Frank Darabont continues to show his allegiance for Steven King. He’s brought the author’s The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, and, most recently, The Mist to the silver screen. Now he has plans to adapt The Long Walk, a sci-fi tale penned by King under his Richard Bachman pseudonym. The plot revolves around a “futuristic foot race” in which the competitors are shot if they stop walking. The last man in motion wins.

Let’s hope Darabont does a better job with this than he did with The Mist. I still cringe at the fact I wasted $8.00 of my hard earned dollars on that stinker.
