Steam to Allow Access to Saved Games Remotely

Users of Valve’s Steam currently may only access the titles they’ve purchased on any Steam-equipped computer. Soon, though, gamers will also be granted access to game-generated data such as saves and key-bindings on any PC through a service called Steam Cloud.

This service will be applied to older titles on the service and on all forthcoming releases.

James McAvoy As Bilbo Baggins?

A source at Britain’s The Daily Express has apparently heard some casting news for The Hobbit.

“A number of names have been doing the rounds, including Daniel Radcliffe and Jack Black, but James McAvoy is the one the film’s bosses really want. They’re expected to have talks soon, so hopefully it could be confirmed in the not too distant future.”

Most, including myself, doubt the validity of this story due to the inclusion of Jack Black. Also, in a recent fan Q&A director Guillermo del Toro had this to say regarding the casting of Bilbo:

“The fact that Ian Holm is SO memorable means that PJ, Fran and PB did their job right. We will utilize him in some fashion for sure but the difficulty of the role will be better assesed after we do the script”

Mozilla Hosting International Download Day

Mozilla will celebrate the release of its long-awaited Firefox 3 by hosting a International Download Day. They encourage all fans of the browser to download it on the first day of availability in hopes of entering the Guinness Book of World Records for most downloads in one day.

The official release date will soon be posted on the Firefox website. A highly stable beta version of the browse may be downloaded at the same site. I’ve ran it for a while, and, I can vouch for its awesomeness.
