PC World, the computer superstore in the U.K., not the magazine, was forced to pull a Playstation 3 advertisement due to its claim that the system could play all Playstation 2 releases. The Advertising Standards Authority deemed the ad “misleading” and instigated the aforementioned ad pulling. The store defended the ad by saying that the Playstation 3 was able to play “80 percent” of the Playstation 2 stable of games, and, future patches will allow it to play 100 percent. This, however, didn’t appease the ASA. Posted in: Video Games |
