LOST ARG: New Test Added to DharmaWantsYou.com

Anyone playing along with the latest Lost ARG? No? Well, okay, so maybe you all have lives but I most certainly do not. I signed up for DharmaWantsYou.com as soon as I could. I’ve been posting about it over at PopCultureGeek.com but haven’t written anything about it here. Thought I’d share it with those who’ve yet to venture to the new site.
So far, the plot of this one is far from complex. Dharma has essentially put out a call for recruits. They had live recruiting at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con that involved elaborate sets, testing, and a video featuring a more laid back Dr. Marvin Candle (see above youtube clip). During the panel for Lost several recruits were taken back and show the video but the rest of the audience was kept in the dark. That is, until one of the recruits managed to hack into the television system used at the convention and had the video played on the big screen.
Anyone may sign up for the recruit program at DharmaWantsYou.com. You’ll be given a battery of tests to gauge your value to the program. Once you’re accepted (everyone is) you’ll be given more tests. For the past two weeks you were asked to take a fairly simple spatial test that involved putting together a cube out of shapes as quickly as possible. Today, Dharma Recruiter Hans Van Eeghen sent out a press release heralding a new addition to the site. Recruits can now access test number two which will determine their grasp on broad spectral analysis. I’ve yet to take it but it sounds intriguing.
