DC’s Source revealed yesterday that Geoff Johns and artist Ethan Van Sciver miniseries Flash: Rebirth has been expanded to six issues. Issue #5 will be on shelves August 26. In it, a new threat emerges, a new hero takes on an older speedster’s role, and Barry Allen makes some sort of sacrifice. Sounds epic, right?

Those unfamiliar with DC Comics continuity would do well to check out this series. Johns gives enough exposition to prevent n00bs from getting lost within the pages.
