Left 4 Dead 2 4 Fall 2009
by Jarret Green ~ June 1st, 2009. Filed under: Games.
At Microsoft’s E3 presentation today, they slipped in the announcement of the sequal to one of our favorite games of last year, Left 4 Dead. Steam was quick to reveal details about the game, due out November 17 for PC and Xbox 360.
Additions to the game include melee weapons, like a chainsaw, baseball bat, and frying pan. The AI Director has also been upgraded, now changing weather, objects, and paths, in addition to the populations and items.
Valve promises a “larger game.” Are you pumped about this announcment, or, like some critics, do you think it’s too soon?

I’m totally pumped. If there’s enought content there to warrant a new game rather than expansion (and it sounds that way – 5 campaigns?), then I’m all for it. And I like the setting, the change in the director and the melee weapons. All good, probably day one purchase.
