Jake Gyllenhaal has signed on to star in Source Code, the next film from director/David Bowie sire Duncan Jones.

Source Code is a Groundhog Day-esque film about a soldier, played by Gyllenhaal, who randomly wakes up in a different body. He’s forced to live the same day over-and-over again until he stops a train bombing from happening. Shooting is expected to begin in 2010.

Jones, who wowed many with Moon, proved he knew how to handle space quite well. Think he’ll do the same on Earth?
