Califone frontman Rutili’s Film to Premiere at Sundance

Tim Rutili, frontman for Dead Oceans’ Califone, wrote and directed a feature length film to accompany the group’s latest record, All My Friends Are Funeral Singers. The film, which shares the album’s title, will make its theatrical debut at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah in January.
The film tells the story of a fortune teller named Zel living and working in a house filled with ghosts. After a mysterious light appears in the forrest surrounding the house, the ghosts realize their trapped and start a rebellion. Both it and the record, according to the label, draw on the “same themes and inspiration.”
So, if anyone wishes to buy us a ticket to Park City and put us up for a few days so we can review the film, just toss us an email.
